TREX Http Server status red - what's wrong?

Hello,

checked this forum and found a lot of related posts. Looks like the TREX installation can be a nightmare.

I have installed TREX 6.1 + SPS12(only TREX) + Trex Patch 1 on a w2003 Server with IIS 6.0. On the machine is running EP 6 SPS12 and some ITS. After TREX installation I had 7 errors running the runinstallationtest.py. I changed the TREXWebserver.ini and got 0 errors. But I didn't checked the TREXHttpserver is running because the test-results were ok and continued installation of SPS12 + Patch 1.

Now have the problem the status is red in TREX Administration and portal monitoring Trex. Following I have done:

Trex02 User has admin rights

- Note 811369 didn't help

- Deleted wgate.dll from root Website node of IIS and added it to the websites of ITS instances directly. No effect.

TREXWebServer.ini has:

URL=http://SA017:30205/TREXHttpServer_02/TREXISAPIExt.dll

Topology.ini has:

url=http://SA017:30205/TREXHttpServer_02/TREXISAPIExt.dll

- Added the |USR_.. user to Security (read, execute) to the usr\sap folder. No effect

The ping to

http://sa017:30205/TREXHttpServer_02/TREXISAPIExt.dll?CMD=PING

had the result: The page cannot be displayed

The ping to

http://sa017:30205/TREXHttpServer/TREXISAPIExt.dll? had the result that a login popup came up but couldn't login:

You are not authorized to view this page.

There is some confusion about the TREXHttpServer_02 or TREXHttpServer? in the URL. I tried the TREXHttpServer in the ini files with no effect. In IIS 6.0 the WebService extension is TREXHTTPServer_02. So this must be right.

I would be very happy if someone has an idea what I could check next.

Regards

Alex
