Permissions of linked pages in WPC

Hello

I've created two Areas in WPC - Area1 and Area2.

Area1 contains one page and Area2 contains one page which is a linked page to the page from Area1.

I've connected Area1 to Role1 and Area2 to Role2 and assigned user1 to Role1 and user2 to Role2.

I've also configured the Areas end user permissions to be "Assign all roles"

When user1 logs in he can see the WPC page.

When user2 logs in he cannot see the the WPC page.

My assumption is that user2 cannot see the page because this page is linked from Area1 and therefore the permissions to that page are determined by the permissions on Area1 not Area2.

Is my assumption correct? If yes then how can I make the same page visible to two different users via two different areas? I don't want to create a copy because I'd like to manage the page content in one place not two.

Any thoughts...?
