Documents are not being indexed or deindexed in TREX.  Error number is 4530 and error message is "TREXStore error: Index already prepared".  TREX has been restarted but error still persists.  Any ideas?

I need to transport KM resources with their GUIDs from our DEV to QA manually but i'm having trouble with the Pending Imports iView "Content Administration/KM Content/Import/Pending Imports" in our QA system.

At first i did not have the pending imports layoutset, it was showing me the folder in consumerexplorer "I still don't why because both Dev/QA have the same versions/setup". I was missing some KM config for the com.sap.netweaver.kmc.expimp File System Repository Manager and the ExpImp* Flex UI components. I transported the missing objects from Dev to QA and restarted the system.

I now have the Pending Imports iView but after i upload a .kmc transport package successfully and go the pending imports iView, i don't see any entry. if i try to re-upload the package, it tells me that one already exist with that ID, If i browse to /com.sap.netweaver.kmc.expimp/expimp/import/pending i can see the transport package in question but the folder /~system/expimp/import/pending which the Pending Imports iView points to is empty.

The transport package is in .kmc and not zip formats. I can transport via ICE and WebDav but both methods do not transport the GUIDs which is what i need.

I'm running out of ideas and don't know why it's not working. Hopefully someone here has the solution.

These links are provided to other jsp/servlet website . so that these links are maintained as hyper links in that site , but when accessing from outside world these links are not accessible .

what are authorization and authentication mechanisms to be followed to make these links accessible to out side world?

I have created an content repository in the name of 09 and tested the connection was successfull,

but when i click the cs admin ,there the content repository status is running but in the

bottom tab i am getting an information message

There was problem rendering a PDF for your page

before installing sp5 i had no this problem (but i cannot add any image)

this is the step that I do:

• System Admin roles to my user

• Activate  Archiving Global Service

• Create and configure a file system repository manager, choose Content Management → Repository Managers → File System Repository

• Create a network path, choose System Administration → System Configuration → Knowledge Management → Content Management → Global Services → Network Paths → Network path.

• Create and configure an archiving file system repository manager.  System Administration  →  System Configuration → Content Management → Repository Managers  →Archiving File System Repository Manager

• Define the Archiving Repository for the KMC Data Archiving  →  System Administration  →  System Configuration   → Content Management  →  Global Services   →  Show Advanced Options  →  Archiving Global service

Dear Gurus,

We are on sap nw 2004s sp 14 ,we faced a problem ie if a user has deleted a folder in km  repository the subscription mail we receive doesn't contain the user who deleted it and when it was deleted.

After uploading a pdf document on our portal, we many times get an error, file does not begin with '%Pdf-'  whenever, one tries to open it. Could you please suggest some remedy for it.

i am wondering where on the SAP backend the root is located for the KM content.

In portal go to content administration then KM content . In the right hand frame a directory structure appears under root.

I need to know where this root is located since I need to ftp files to subdirectories in the root.

Is this under the PCD, portal content directory? Or is it deep in the j2ee/cluster/server0 etcetera directories?

Or should I look for the answer looking at the repository managers?

I'm a bit stumped on this one

How can I clear the "Appliction Log" in "Systemadministration -> Monitoring -> Knowledge Management"?

There are so many entries that it takes too long until the view is loaded.

I don´t want just to filter the application log using "Options", I want to delete the entries.

If I  want to configure WPC and KM option as required, like to hide certain option from end users in Home page management role.

How should I configure

I am currently investigating UWL and its features.

The scenario I am facing is a portal application where users need to be notified on a portal iview (a customized UWL based iview?) about events like file uploading in a KM folder(s) or they would get a custom notification due to a specific business rule. Previously I did some "experiments" by using the RecentNotification iView with not satisfactory results...

Do you think UWL could be the solution for our needs? I found that docs and infos on SAP sdn are a bit limited and "messy" about this subject so... any suggestion would be much appreciated. Best scenario could be a step-by-step tutorial.

Hi all,

I have uploaded one pdf file (Estimate.pdf) to KM in folder abc. I want to create an iView to display that pdf file in portal. For which I have created a KM Document iView and in "Path to Document" property I have assigned the document path like: /documents/abc/Estimate.pdf

Now when try to see preview, instead of opening my pdf file, it shows only one image on top with text mySAP.com.

I have also tried to create a link to my document and given the link path but I got the same result.

Can anyone tell me why is this happening? Is there any other property to be set?

In Web Page Composer I need to create the Link List with Sub Menu options. It is like using Javascript we can create the Menu and with Menu we create the sub menu.
