TREX- Index Invalid Queue Status

Hi,

 

One of the index is showing "invalid" status in TREX Monitor. In indexing monitor, error is being showed for several files. Under Application log, we are getting "AbstractTrexIndex: indexing some of the resources failed" and "Indexing document failed. Filter: Error writing to file (Errorcode 14047) " error. There is sufficient hard drive space on the TREX server.

400 Bad HTTP request

Hi Guys,

 

Need help here. This error occurs at random in the KM and also by randam content editors. They navigate into the "Explorer" of Content Management and follow the folder structure created for their content. Upon triggering to open a folder in teh structure, the content editors sometimes get the error message: "400 Bad HTTP request". This happens to afew of them so often, such that every clicks within the folder structures all ended in the same error.

 

At first I thought it could be a hardware issue, so I log on to the same hardware with my userID and I do not have any problems (no 400 error message). I even ask the user to try it on a different hardware and he does not get any error with a new hardware. However, after afew weeks, the 400 error occur again for the same users with new hardware.

 

Does anyone experience the same issue as me?

How to create URL iview to page created using webpage composer in NW 7.31 portal

Hi,

Is there any way by which we can create a URL iview to call page created using wpc in NW 7.31 portal? Basically , I need to make navigation panel invisible when there is 1 iview (other application iview) and 1 connection for page created home page in a particular role. In WPC setting , I have tried hiding link in navigation panel but it doesn't work. Can URL ivew be created for this? In role first tab should be WPC page and second tab of application link.

 

 

I have already referred link Web Page Composer and Detailed Navigation

 

Any inputs would be appreciated.

Acrobat reader error-"file does not begin with %PDF"

Hi all,

 

           I uploaded some pdfs from my local system to the KM \documents of the portal.

          When i try to open the pdf from the KM , the "File does not begin with %PDF" error is coming.

           I am able to open all of those from my local system , but when i tried to open from KM this error appears.

One of our existing BI portal application is undergoing a heavy KM transformation. There are estimated 300 GB of document utilization.What SAP POrtal solution should be ideally used here. We are on SAP BI Java 7.4

 

We are moving towards wit FSDB or just FS and fine tuning caches and indexes.

We might implement TREX as well.

WEBDAV is also another solution

in the log I have the following error:

Row lock contention while delete of data from KMC_DBRM_TMPNODES

We use CM Repository in Portal (version 7.0 sp21) for an attachment of documents in Bex (web pages).

When in system there is more than 300 sessions that a portal to hang. In the session monitor (st04) I see much (more than 20) following record:

SID = 377

Event = enq: TX - row lock contention

SQL Statement = DELETE FROM u201CKMC_DBRM_TMPNODES"

 

There are locking while delete of data. The long turn from blocking is built. And portal to go down.

Please let me know how to solve a problem of lock table?

Problem with reached maximum number of connections to database

Dear Experts,

 

Our Production system was not responding properly last week.

 

The below was the reply from the Basis team.

 

"It seems that we have again problem with reached maximum number of connections to database. We have extended this number to 100 this year and now it seems that it’s not enough again. It seems that something is running on Production, which takes over too many connections."

 

They have increased the number to 200 as a work around.

 

Do we have any means to find out, which component or application is causing the issue.

Please advise me if any better way is available to correct the issue.

Hello,

 

I have uploaded a word document to Documents folder in KM, when I click on the document it gets displayed in a new window. But when I copy the Target URL from

Document Details -> Properties -> Access Links

and paste it in another browser it gives "Portal Runtime Exception" doesnt ask for any username or password.

 

Need your help in this.

TREX Preprocessor Error

Good day,

 

I have installed TREX 7 and since the new installation I am getting a preprocessor error, it seems like it can't find the <%hostname%> but I have no idea what the reason for this could be.

I have followed the post installation tasks, but still get this error.

Image gallery in SAP EP

Hi folks,

 

I'd like to receive some comments on the topic "Image gallery in SAP EP" as quite often there is a need for storing content in form of images in the KM and the standard renderers available do not satisfy advanced scenarios or non-SAP standard environments.

 

As there is heaps of image gallery libraries around for usage in standard web pages and open portals - mostly based on Java or Javascript - I wonder if these can be easily used within SAP EP.

 

So my question: Did anyone integrate a free image gallery software into SAP EP and are there any drawbacks/experiences or remarks you might want to share with me?!

 

The gallery should sport thumbnails previews, tagging, additional attributes, convenience functions (mass-renaming, mass-resizing), flashy previews, etc.

Forum email notification link lead to a redirect

Hi all,

we used WPC to establishing wikis and forums in order to easily share and contribute knowledge and information in our Netweaver Portal.

Well, everything works fine except for the email notification sent to the end user. By clicking the link provided in the e-mail the user can see the thread content related but after just a few seconds the web page redirects to the portal home page...

 

 

Any help would be appreciated.
