We have a requirement to hide some of the menu items of KM Folder Context menu, like Folder -- New -- Text file / Html file (want to hide).
I think its possible through command groups, I want to know which command group controls it. Any ideas?

i would like to know if anyone managed to integrate the tinyMCE in WPC in such depth that you don´t have to copy the KM links when you e.g. insert a picture from KM or when you insert a link to a KM document.
In more detail...does anyone manage to integrate KM navigation and selection in tinyMCE in the same way the "normal" WPC html editor does?
I also really would like to know why SAP generally does not plan to integrate a WYSIWYG editor in future WPC releases (thats what was said from Product Management). This is in my opinion one of the biggest disadvantages to the other web-contentmanagement Portal implementations that are offered from other vendors (FirstSpirit etc.), so I don´t understand why SAP is not interested to close this gap...

Hi,
I have created a KM Navigation Iview listing few KM Documents. However, at the bottom of each Document there is an icon- on clicking which user can access "Clipboard" Details etc- and navigate to Settings for the documents(see attached). Although we can restrict any modification through permission settings- is there any way we can hide the icon at the bottom of the document so that the user cannot see these options?
I want the users only to see the document links.

after upgrading our E-Recruiting to 7.4, we are faced with a strange behavior of our NetWeaver Portal (7.02):
When you open a WD4A-Application via Portal, the application is started correctly. But if you open the application again (second time), you receive an error-page, which says "400 Session timed out - please log in again".
BUT, it just keeps getting better!!! When you navigate again to the application (third time), everything works fine. Fourth time, you get the error page again (and so on...)
So, what the hell is going on here?!? HTTP-Trace shows nothing special....

We are working on SAP Netweaver 7.4 Portal. We have followed the below SAP Help Link to configure WPC Area permissions.

We are able to achieve the Permission restriction in Content Editor Page where as in Content Library we are not.
For e.g.
Area Management -> Content Editor -> Staging Area (Read access to Everyone Group).
Staging Area -> WPC Area1 (Author permission to WPCAreaUMEGroup1 & Everyone Group Read)
Staging Area -> WPC Area2 (Author permission to WPCAreaUMEGroup2 & Everyone Group Read)
To allow only the appropriate author group should create the area/page/articles. Achieved successfully the expected results in the Content Editor.
In case of Content Library, we are not able to restrict the Users in creating Articles on the same area as well as on the other Areas.
Please help us in this regard.

I have a folder in 'Public Document' with a pdf file. A KM Navigation iView points to the folder with the pdf file. When a user clicks on the pdf file it opens in a seperate window. Is it possible to open the pdf file in the content area of the portal.

Hello Experts,
We upgraded our portal (Java only) from 7.0 to 7.31. After the upgrade all the PCD content and the KM documents are available
but we cannot edit any of the KM documents. We can choose the "Edit Online" and can make changes to an html document
using the online editor. But when we select "Save and Unlock", after making changes to the document, we get the following message:

Dear Experts,
Our Production system was not responding properly last week.
The below was the reply from the Basis team.
"It seems that we have again problem with reached maximum number of connections to database. We have extended this number to 100 this year and now it seems that it’s not enough again. It seems that something is running on Production, which takes over too many connections."
They have increased the number to 200 as a work around.
Do we have any means to find out, which component or application is causing the issue.
Please advise me if any better way is available to correct the issue.

We have upgraded our portal from 7.0 to 7.4. we had wep page composer (WPC) in 7.0 portal.After upgrade all the WPC site content are migrated to upgrade portal . I can see all the old wpc site content appearing as PCD page in staging area of wpc 7.4.
We have par iviews in old wpc . I have converted par portal components to war file and recreated new iview.
Now when I remove the old iview and add new iviews to new wpc PCD page the changes are not reflecting. But When I preview the new wpc pcd page I can see the new iview added.
But when you login as end user I cannot see the wpg pcd page change change with new ivews.
Can anyone suggest what could be the issue?

Hi Guys,
Need help here. This error occurs at random in the KM and also by randam content editors. They navigate into the "Explorer" of Content Management and follow the folder structure created for their content. Upon triggering to open a folder in teh structure, the content editors sometimes get the error message: "400 Bad HTTP request". This happens to afew of them so often, such that every clicks within the folder structures all ended in the same error.
At first I thought it could be a hardware issue, so I log on to the same hardware with my userID and I do not have any problems (no 400 error message). I even ask the user to try it on a different hardware and he does not get any error with a new hardware. However, after afew weeks, the 400 error occur again for the same users with new hardware.
Does anyone experience the same issue as me?

We have a requirement where-in we have to upload files to Records Management System from existing attachments in purchase requisition created in ECC or documents from a legacy environment.
Can we do that using a BAPI? Is it possible to do that with BAPI_RECORD_CREATE?
Please suggest. Will be great if you could share an example for this function in order to analyze this scenario.

Hi all,
I'm on EP 7.31, using the KM WebDAV server layer along with Portal Drive to upload massive files, about 1GB+
I've set the ICM parameter for file size to -1, so that should not be an issue.
However, I get this error when uploading a large file:
I get the error after ~2hrs from upload start, when the upload is ~85%
I tried multiple times still getting the same error.
Smaller files were uploaded ok, like several hundred MBs in size.
Any idea what could be the issue?

Dear Experts,
I've tried added some translation for the portal content and follow the step suggested in the following link to export the package.

The only difference is that in our environment, we don't have CTS set up for the portal, we are exporting the package to files system and then import them to the target environment.However, after importing to the UAT environment, the translated text cannot be displayed.
Any idea what I've done wrong or any step that I've missed.

I'm doing the permission assign in Knowledge Management.
I was encourtered a problem when creating. The permission cannot propagate to descendant folders.
I have tried to use Reset Child Permissions but it would inherits entire permission in list to overwrite in child permission.
How could I propagate only one permission to my chiidren folder?

Is this can be achieved through KM API and J2EE development component.
