I am developing a KM service (implementing the interface ISchedulerTask) and my problem is that the server cached classes,

so that for each test I need to restart the application server.

Is there any way to restart this service only?

My system is a Portal 7.01 (EP7 with EHP1)

      We upgraded our portal (Java only) from 7.0 to 7.31.  After the upgrade all the PCD content and the KM documents are available

but we cannot edit any of the KM documents.  We can choose the "Edit Online" and can make changes to an html document

using the online editor.  But when we select "Save and Unlock", after making changes to the document, we get the following message:

403 Access denied

You do not have the permissions to access this resource

The document and the folders all have the "Full Control" for the Everyone group.

Any help in resolving this issue is greatly appreciated.

Hi , i have installed trex long back on windows 2000. it was working fine. but suddenly now HttpServer is not starting. it is showing red simbol in TREX Monitor. namespace server is green. if i ping using

http://server:30005/TREXHttpServer/TREXISAPIExt.dll?CMD=PING it is returning Connection OK message. but its status is not available in EP. in TREXNameSpaceServerAlert.trc file, there is a message saying inactive httpserver@http://server:30005/TREXHttpServer/TREXISAPIExt.dll.  Communication problem or interval(10 seconds)is too shorts.. i have no idea about this interval setting..iam sure it was working previously..any idea what really went wrong?

     I have created a custom UI command that accepts a URL as a configuration parameter and that displays the same on clicking the command. For displaying this custom command in Portal I have created a command and did the mapping. Next I added this command to an already existing command group that in turn is added to a standard layout set. But the custom command is not getting displayed along with other commands in the context menu. Any ideas?

Hi,

Recently I have upgraded my components EP, KM, Trex to SP13. Upgrade went smoothly. But my 'ume' index used for Who's who iview is not working. All other indexes are working fine.

User Management is congifured to MSADS+database I observed that its indexing only the users created in database and not indexing Active Directory users.

Active directory users can login to portal. I have 420 active directory users and 2 database users. After indexing it shows 420 errors and 2 ok.

Tried everything like re-index, deleted the index and recreated. Still problem persists.

Anyone has clues or suggestions.

Hi Experts,

I am working on SAP EP 7.3 EHP1.

I have created a page and assigned it to a role as connection. I have assigned this role to a test user.

The test user is able to see the page in the portal, but there seems to be something wrong as an error is logged simultaneously in NWA. I have provided the log trace in the discussion below.

I have also observed that when I assign 'Administrator' role to the test user, the error is not logged.

Any helpful pointer will be appreciated!

i am having a problem in Transaction SFP (Form Builder)

I download a Form Objekt and it was written correct in my Local Drive with the ending xxxx.XML.

Then i wanted to Updold the file, then it says:

"Error occurred when uploading file (unknown file format)

Message no. FPUIFB068"

we are using ERP2005 Rel. SAP ECC 6.0

Hope to hear a solution for my problem.

We are upgrading the enterprise to Windows 7 x64.  Our current client installs.  But, will not open.  I'm reading that it will only work on a 32 bit OS.  I find it hard to believe that a large company like SAP wouldn't already have a 64 bit version of this client to give to large customers like our company.  So, is there a 64 bit client?  Or is there a workaround?  Thanks!

after upgrading our E-Recruiting to 7.4, we are faced with a strange behavior of our NetWeaver Portal (7.02):

When you open a WD4A-Application via Portal, the application is started correctly. But if you open the application again (second time), you receive an error-page, which says "400 Session timed out - please log in again".

BUT, it just keeps getting better!!! When you navigate again to the application (third time), everything works fine. Fourth time, you get the error page again (and so on...)

So, what the hell is going on here?!? HTTP-Trace shows nothing special....

I want to filter certain WPC Web Forms for certain folders so that not all web forms are allowed/visible in the 'New' menu in each and every /Site-Content/ folder.

I have tested this with one web resource type.

For this I have set the 'Allowed RID's' parameter to /wpccontent/Sites/Test/*/Site-Content/*

The 'Generates UI Command' is set to 'Yes' (otherwise the web form will not be shown at all - I have tested this).

The 'Allowed parent types' is set to 'wpc_content_folder' and 'wpc_page'.

Now I would assume that when I am in /wpccontent/Sites/[My Site]/Site-Content/ I am not able to create an object based on me test web form, and when I am in /wpccontent/Sites/Test/[My Other Site]/Site-Content/ I am able to create an object based on my test web form.

But this is not happening. I am able to create an object based on my test web form in ALL Site-Content folders under WPC.

Is that a bug or am I missing something?

We are running EP 7.0 SP18 for both portal and WPC.

i would like to know if anyone managed to integrate the tinyMCE in WPC in such depth that you don´t have to copy the KM links when you e.g. insert a picture from KM or when you insert a link to a KM document.

In more detail...does anyone manage to integrate KM navigation and selection in tinyMCE in the same way the "normal" WPC html editor does?

I also really would like to know why SAP generally does not plan to integrate a WYSIWYG editor in future WPC releases (thats what was said from Product Management). This is in my opinion one of the biggest disadvantages to the other web-contentmanagement Portal implementations that are offered from other vendors (FirstSpirit etc.), so I don´t understand why SAP is not interested to close this gap...

I'm trying to implement a news iview in Portal; I found an exaustive and intesting How-to guide that designs exactly my scenario:

However, I tried to start from the existing SAP_DemoNews project doing some little modifications in order to include a society logo.

So, I opened SAP_DemoNews project and did a Save as... to MyTemplateNews project.

However, even though the project seems correct as there are no errors in the generate() phase, I cannot see a preview of any module as the windows which is opened contains the following message:

Item /documents/xmlforms/xfbuilder/preview/MyTemplateNews.xml does not exist

I guess there's something wrong with paths and configuration, but didn't found any reference searching the forum; could anyone provide me an help to work with previews?

The problem is that they are running in the context of Guest user, and i could find any way to change this.

Because of that when i try to call new InitialContext () for calling some remote ejbs i get caller not autorized.

So does somebody know how i can change this?

We are facing a permissions issue while publishing WPC content. When I add some content in Test pag and try to publish it, its giving below

error. This is EP 7.3.

The Page contains a image file which is in Global Shared Content and the folder has full access to user ith which I am publishing the page. Also it has write access to Everyone group.

Could you please suggest a way out?

do you know if it is possible to create "empty" entry point pages? Everytime I click on an entry point the first report in it is loaded. We want to prevent the first report / iview to be loaded, instead we'd like to have a blank page.

Is that possible without creating new iViews?
