400 Bad HTTP request
Hi Guys,
Need help here. This error occurs at random in the KM and also by randam content editors. They navigate into the "Explorer" of Content Management and follow the folder structure created for their content. Upon triggering to open a folder in teh structure, the content editors sometimes get the error message: "400 Bad HTTP request". This happens to afew of them so often, such that every clicks within the folder structures all ended in the same error.
At first I thought it could be a hardware issue, so I log on to the same hardware with my userID and I do not have any problems (no 400 error message). I even ask the user to try it on a different hardware and he does not get any error with a new hardware. However, after afew weeks, the 400 error occur again for the same users with new hardware.
Does anyone experience the same issue as me?

file does not begin with '%Pdf-'
Hi!!
After uploading a pdf document on our portal, we many times get an error, file does not begin with '%Pdf-' whenever, one tries to open it. Could you please suggest some remedy for it.

Custom Scheduled Task
I've been over this it seems a 1000 times but I have to be missing something. I'm going to lay it out in what I hope to be enough detail so someone can tell me where things are going wrong.
Environment:
- Target platform - EP6.0 SP2
- SAP Developer Studio 2.0.11
Goal:
Create a custom task that can be run via the KM Scheduler that has access to portal specific information (users, etc).
Current Process:
- Follow Prakash Singh's article on creating a KM scheduled task (Did you know you can schedule jobs in portal using KM's Scheduler Task?) (create a portal app project, and use the Service, Filter, and Task generation wizard specifying EP6SP2)
- Before deploying the PAR, copy the 'local' folder under src.config to the same location but rename 'install'. (this keeps the PAR from erroring during building. Will get 'Cannot create config archive (you should have a valid data or meta folder)' error if I dont). <- I suspect that this step may be part of my issue.
- PAR deploys fine, will see a JDBC error (null pointer exception in the JDBC driver) in the log upon first deployment, (Strange since I'm not using JDBC here) but does not seem to affect the application. Possibly related to Hot Deployment issues of scheduled tasks (Problem with scheduler task and Scheduling ISchedulerTask)
when the server restarts the application loads OK.
- Task shows in KM Scheduler, and can configure schedule OK but no execution. No mention in the logs even with System.out statements. Its as if the task is not being executed at all. Even if I deliberately put in an error (div/0) I will not see anything in the console logs.
I have been through the component monitor and it seems that everything is running fine but the scheduled tasks do not execute.

Access Denied while uploading document
Dear KMC friends,
I created a fsdb persistent mode CM Repository.
When i tried to upload a document it is giving Access Denied.
But i could able to delete a document which is already exists (manually copied document)

Hide Access Denied message
Hi,
I have a folder: /documents/test_folder and no read access to it.
I also have a KM Navigation iView which points to this folder.
When the iView points to the folder to which I don't have read access (/documents/test_folder), the message "Access Denied" is being displayed.
If I had read access to /documents/test_folder but didn't have it for /documents/test_folder/folder1, the folder1 folder would not be visible in iView (correctly).
How can I prevent this message from being displayed in the case when iView points to the folder to which I don't have read access?

Permission denied : using service user
Hi All,
I am trying to move certain files form one folder to another. I am using the user 'cmadmin_service' for this purpose.
However it gives an exception saying
Permission denied: uri=/documents/xyz permission=leaf_delete, user=cmadmin_service
I understand that this due to some permission issues. Kindly help me how to provide the necessary permissions here.

400 Session timed out - please log in again
Hi experts,
after upgrading our E-Recruiting to 7.4, we are faced with a strange behavior of our NetWeaver Portal (7.02):
When you open a WD4A-Application via Portal, the application is started correctly. But if you open the application again (second time), you receive an error-page, which says "400 Session timed out - please log in again".
BUT, it just keeps getting better!!! When you navigate again to the application (third time), everything works fine. Fourth time, you get the error page again (and so on...)
So, what the hell is going on here?!? HTTP-Trace shows nothing special....

Access Denied Errors - Collaboration Room
Hello,
We set up collaboration in EP6 sp2 and are getting some errors.
1) I created a room and gave myself the admin, member role to the room. But when I goto collaboration, room directory, my rooms tab, I have "No rooms available.." Is this correct? I would think I would see the room I just created here.
2) Now, if I goto the communities tab, I see a room I created, but when I goto the room I get "Access Denied" in the Room Tasks, Room Documents, Room news, Room Discussion.
Does anyone have an idea on what I might have missed that is causing these exceptions. I went through the install process and gave myself the proper collab roles. So I think I did everything correctly.

Extending user details: Label in user Profile
Hello,
I have followed the document "How to Extend User Details" to add custom properties to user details. However, although it is possible to add labels to the user details iView (which you can access from KM), it does not seem possible to add labels for these properties on the User Profile (which you access through Personalize->User Profile).
I have checked <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?forumID=42&threadID=129068&messageID=1443674">this</a> post, and the answer refers to the User Details iView, not the User Profile maintenance.

Runtime Error when navigating to KM Content with SAP portal 7.3 SPS3
Hello,
We've istallled portal 7.3 sps3.
When we navigate to Content Administration > KM Content we are getting te following error immediately:
*Runtime Error
An exception occured while processing the request.

Additional information: com.sapportals.wdf.WdfException: Can't load Layout class: com.sapportals.wdf.layout.HorizontalLayout

TREX Preprocessor Error Code 13500
Hi,
I am trying to create indexes based on .doc, .xls, .pdf files but i still get the following error Preprocessor Error Code 13500
Does anybody know what's the 13500 error code mean ?
Installation TREX version is 6.1.09 with filter software version 7.7.5

Missing Gifs on Portal
SDN, I have some missing gif's in the portal pages. If I look at the source of the page it shows:
src="/irj/go/km/docs/etc/public/mimes/images/ico16_nostatus.gif"
My unix system shows the gifs in 2 places:
/sapmnt/SB1/global/config/cm/etc/public/mimes/images/ico16_nostatus.gif
and
/usr/sap/SB1/DVEBMGS04/j2ee/cluster/server0/temp/webdynpro/web/sap.com/tckmckmc.people.shared~wd_picker/Components/com.sap.netweaver.kmc.people.wdpicker.PeoplePicker/ico16_nostatus.gif
Is there a config setting I need to make here? Any help is appreciated.

BEx Portfolio Folder
Hi, I found the documentation that states the "BEx Portfolio" IView displays the documents in the public folder. When I try to open a document in the "BEx Portfolio" from the "Web Analyzer" I only see "BEx" items and not all of the items in the public folder. Is this just a feature of the "Web Analyzer"?

How to connect WebDav URL in Windows 7 to a Folder of KM.
Hi,
I have EP 7.0 SP 21.
When I tried to map a network drive in Windows Explorer to the WEBDAV URL of the Portal , don´t accept the URL. It said the folder is not valid. I know are problem with WebDAV in Windows 7. but not are a solution to this yet.

Unable to preview - XML Forms builder
Hello gurus,
please forgive the silly question as I'm completely a newbie on the argument.
I'm trying to implement a news iview in Portal; I found an exaustive and intesting How-to guide that designs exactly my scenario:
How to Create XML Forms (NW2004)
However, I tried to start from the existing SAP_DemoNews project doing some little modifications in order to include a society logo.
So, I opened SAP_DemoNews project and did a Save as... to MyTemplateNews project.
However, even though the project seems correct as there are no errors in the generate() phase, I cannot see a preview of any module as the windows which is opened contains the following message:
XML - Forms Item /documents/xmlforms/xfbuilder/preview/MyTemplateNews.xml does not exist
I guess there's something wrong with paths and configuration, but didn't found any reference searching the forum; could anyone provide me an help to work with previews?

RID.getRID("/documents/path") is returning null pointer exception
Hi Experts,
I am trying to get RID of a resource present in KM
I am using below code in Webdynpro java.
RID file = RID.getRID("/documents/test4.html");
To define KM dependency we have created a External library project with tc~km~frwk.jar . Then we have added it under dependency for our Webdynpro project.
But we are getting below Error.txt error. (Please check the attachment for details)
java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.util.Map.get(java.lang.Object) of an object loaded from static field com.sapportals.wcm.util.uri.RID.ridCache
Can anyone please guide me on this.
Note: Mentioned document is present under KM "documents" folder. This issue is happening for any resource present in KM .

KM Navigation iView customization
Hello,
Is there a way to manipulate ACL permissions for KM Navigation iView in NW Portal 7.4?
Adding some custom parameters/fields(Yes and No) to KM navigation iView and if selected yes, the iView should access content based on ACL permissions and if selected no, the it should overwrite acl-permissions and still access KM content irrespective of ACL permissions.

Problem with reached maximum number of connections to database
Dear Experts,
Our Production system was not responding properly last week.
The below was the reply from the Basis team.
"It seems that we have again problem with reached maximum number of connections to database. We have extended this number to 100 this year and now it seems that it’s not enough again. It seems that something is running on Production, which takes over too many connections."
They have increased the number to 200 as a work around.
Do we have any means to find out, which component or application is causing the issue.
Please advise me if any better way is available to correct the issue.
